Unfinished Finish

Hello all! My name is Ben.

I am very new to Daz or any 3D software. I have Hex and Daz Activly installed but I also have C4D, Blender and Reallusion  that I havent even opened/installed yet.

I am really needing some help/advice. Today I renedered my second piece and have some stuff that need some work.

The piece today was a female doing a dance pose. I chose this pose because it shows no nudity but still shows what my issues are. Problem is a read the nudity thing on here and it says if you can see a little of the pubic area then it cant be posted, Like I said it shows no nudity whatsover but I dont want to offend anyone over some skin.

If someone is willing to see my render and can give me some advice on what I can do I would apriciate it,

The one I think should be the easiest is the issue of the hair flowing properly but the other.... not sure what to say on it!

If you would like to see it and want to pass some valueable skills my way just let me know and i'll send some contact info.

Thank you,

Benjamin Cobb

one thing to get some advice would be to show the image here in your thread, so people can comment on it, maybe cut off some of the image where the pubic is seen? or you post it on deviant art (with NSFW filter) and plave a link)

besides that I would like to point you to our new users challenge where we adress different topics over the year.

here is the link to the current one https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/362161/november-2019-daz-3d-new-user-challenge-materials#latest

there you will get a lot of info and feedback on your images

    Hey Ben!

To let the hair fall back, select the hair in your scene tab, and you'll (probably) find movement morphs in your parameters tab, probably under actors.

Yes I did but the only morphs were for the strands. When I tried to make the proper adjustments the part of the ponytail with the band stayed put and the rest of the strands bent back making it look really silly,

In that case, that hair might not be suitable for that pose... frown

I don't own it myself so I can't tell for sure.

Have you tried posing the bones of the hair? Which hair is it?

  • Channen for G8F.

Now my problem is my base G8F has a pretty little Asian face on it that i cant get rid of and it makes all the other faces look very flat in the nose and square protruding face features its bad lol!

The pic here is only drawn out by 65% but it is supposed to be my base G8F. This is not the base, I don't know what happened frown

The hair is the one I was having issues with. The pose was the girl leaning way back and the hair is supposed to flow towards the floor. The base of the ponytail to about mid lower neck stayed put and the rest manipulated in the way i wanted but it looked very strange from any other angle but the top.

Alright now shoot your ideas or skill advice at me please!

  • Never mind, I guess it is the right face on it. I must be doing something wrong then.
