Is there a way to equate size in percentage with, say meters when shaping?

I would like to make a character that is shapped to be 1.96 meters tall.  Can someone give me some guidence if there a way to do this in DAZ?

Not directly, no, as scale % is relative to the original size. For overall height you could try creating a primitive box with 1-meter sides, then scale it at 196%, and using that as a "guide" to set the figure height.

If you need to do this regularly or want more control for each bodypart I would suggest investing in this plugin next time it's on sale: https://www.daz3d.com/measure-metrics-for-daz-studio

  • The translation units are cm, so you could just move a plane up 196 and make sure your character's head just hit it with the character standing on the ground.

But make sure your character is bare footed.  Heels adds inches.
