.duf files are unselectable and can't be opened

I can't open .duf files. If I go inside Daz3D -> Open -> file folder every file is unselectable (see screenshot).
If I try to click on the file itself and open it this way it starts DazStudio but without opening the file... Daz Studio just stays empty.
The only thing that works is if I go to "open recent" and select the file from that list but this means that I can only work on recent files and that I can only work with one computer.
I don't understand what the problem is. If anyone could help it would be most appreciated. It might have something to do with the latest version of Daz Studio because I've always been able to open .duf files before.
I'm using version 4.12.0.86 on a macbook pro with Catalina.

MacOS Catalina? There is a known issue with the way extension lists are passed, it is fixed in the current Public Build of DS https://www.daz3d.com/daz-studio-beta
