Installing V4/M4 from .zip files?
Apologies if this has been asked and answered before, but I am finding nothing when I search for this.
I am installing my content on my new computer, and I noticed that Victoria and Michael's base figures are in the DAZ Install Manager. Yet when I downloaded these .zip files and extracted them into my Document/Poser Pro 2012/ directory and open Poser, while I can see Victoria and load her into the scene, no changes happen when I apply the morph set.
Yet when I installed V4 from the .exe file, she worked fine afterwards. The difference, from what I can gather, is that installing from the .exe asks if you want to initialise V4, and includes the "Update Victoria 4 base" MSDOS shortcut on the desktop.
I was wondering, if there was a trick to getting V4 to run normally - and by normally, I mean, the .INJ morphs apply - by using the .zip files.
I am running Windows 7 64-Bit, and I have got my DAZ Install Manager set to downloading but not installing my content. I prefer running external runtimes and installing the content manually.
Thanks.

run the bat file. Cant remember what it does but you will want to run it. The installer use to do that automatically
Haha, I was just about to shutdown from the night when this email popped up. I didn't expect a reply so soon. :D
Thanks for the speedy reply. I shall try this tomorrow! (I still have to install M4 and the other bases on my primary machine, and then all of the base figures on my secondary one.)
The \Runtime\Libraries\!DAZ\DzCreateExPFiles-m4 and DzCreateExPFiles-v4 batch/command files essentially catalogue the installed morphs and place the list in a form Poser and DS can read in a set of .pz2 files with specific names. If you never run the batch files you will be told the catalogue files are missing; if you don't run them after installing one or more new morph sets the morphs won't be added to the catalogue.
Thankyou for the clarification of what the batch files do. I'm downloading the rest of the .zips for my Gen4 figures now, but if I have any more trouble, I'll post back :)
