DAZ resetting local settings

Daz is a resource hog.  We all know that.

When I start DS first thing I do is open task manager and set affinity to release one or two processor cores which actually makes everything much faster.

Problem is a bug in DS allows it to make changes to my settings recapturing those released cores.  Sometimes. Sometimes not.

How can I make sure DS leaves me choice of affinity alone?

Do you have the Viewport in Iray preview mode? Otherwise it wouldn't be using all the cores - rendering is about the only thing that does so (perhaps dForce on the CPU, depending on how the Intel OpenCL driver works).

DS can't do that, it is not - to the best of my knowldge - possible.

Use a batch file to launch DS and you can have it set affinity for you - I haven't tested it, but this looks like what you want (there was a discussion with rspect to DS, but I'm not sure it wasn't on the old, no longer available, forum) https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/batch-file-to-set-affinity.2364131/
