Exporting DAZ models with animation to Hitfilm as I know it
![iSeeThis](https://farnsworth-prod.uc.r.appspot.com/forums/uploads/userpics/419/n63EN52UV8W8V.jpg)
To my surprise, a decade and no one really talk about exporting from DAZ to Hitfilm step by step.
What I know is
1) Use Alembic exporter to make an .abc file. This is animation part.
2) Export the animated model to .fbx.
3) In Hitfilm, import the 3D Model (.fbx file).
4) In 3D Model Properties, check the model name.
5) in Materials tab, dial opacity property into 100% (one by one, and this is what I don't understand why we have to do so.)
6) Import 3D Model Animation (.abc file)
7) Apply animation to the model.
Is there any tutorials on youtube or whatever media? All I've done above don't work. The texture is 50% transparent in Hitfilm. And when I create lights, some of the model's textures are gone. I've read Alembic in Wiki Documents but it can't help. Just tell me to consult the other software manuals. I'm quite lost and will be much appreciate if some of you can point me to the right tutorials. Thank you!

... and the bit where it screws up the UVs. And the bit where it uses obsolete and unsupported HD5 encoding. And the bit where it gives the unhelpful "Unexpected Error" error.
And you need Hitfilm pro or at least the 3D model module addon
Add decent settings to my own knowledge in case I forget again.
fbx export
acb export
