Adding brows to the char + anatomical elements
Hi, I did download a skin for Genesis female 8 and had to replace it 1 by 1, but now I am a bit in struggle... I checked the original skin and there was the brows painted on the face image.
But the skin I now got, have it as own file.
So... where do I set the brows image in the surface interface? :(
And there is also a genital image part, how to set that? (btw... how do people anyway add a new genital? Cuz the standard is without any).
Mod edit Image removed
My stuff.

The genitals, Daz calls them Anatomical Elements, are only sold with the Pro bundles, and then only for adult figures. This is a business decision, I believe, to keep the store from getting a "p0rn" reputation that would increase the cost of payment processors, and possible lose the ability to use Paypal as a payment option, (Perhaps Amazon Pay, as well.)
The AE are the same from one pro bundle to another, so you only need to purchase one pro bundle per gender, per generation, if you need the AE.
There are a number of products that you can use to add brows to your character. If you're planning on creating a character for sale, you'll need to make sure the product you choose is a Merchant Resource, MR, and you'll need to follow the MR licensing, which can/will vary from one vendor to another. But for your own personal use, there won't be many, if any, restrictions.
There are products for both fiber hair eyebrows and painted on eyebrows, and many of the G8 characters come with fiber hair eyebrows that you can also use. Before buying anything, try selecting your G8F character in the scene, and then check the Smart Content Files under Anatomy > External and if you've got a lot of products there, you can put brows in the filter field above the column and isolate just the eyebrows. If you have any fiber hair brows, they should show up there.
For painted on brows, I know of two, though there are probably more. One is Wow Brow, but it's for G3. I'm not sure if it will work on a G8 figure, but you can probably work around that by applying the materials to a G3 base and then run the script. Once you have the brows you like, you can then apply the new face materials back onto the G8. These are not MR, though.
Then there is Skin Builder 8, (There is also Skin Builder 3.) SB8 will do a lot more than just add brows to your character's skin, and is a great resource for making any character's skin unique. It's also MR, so as long as the skin you start with is MR, you can distribute the skin per the licensing of both products.
I'm sure others will come in and let you know of other products to add brows to your character's skin.
oh wow thats a long answer... and why is my image removed? hmmm
was there something visible that isnt welcome here?
I downloaded this skin:
https://sharecg.com/v/90103/browse/21/DAZ-Studio/G8F-FREE-MERCHANT-SKIN-RESOURCE
But after my first full render compare of standard vs this one it doesnt look much more real...
I just wanted a very real looking skin for posings :(
So... the brow problem will be gone, but tbh, I was a bit lost in your answer :D And his Skin was also called "Merchant"... I don't even know why :D
oh I rember now, I had an image of the Skin I did download and... even this flat skin of genitals was too much for the forum O_o?... and cute that even my thread title got renamed... I just used the word which the texture had :D
I don't really need that stuff, because I would prefer to dress my Models in normal clothes,w hich is not so easy, because the daz3d studio only offer underwear and I dont have right now any clothes :(
its a hard and maybe expensive world which I wanna join :(
It can be expensive however one can also find a lot of free items as well.
Items marked as "merchant resources" are not normally "finished" products. It is expected that the "buyer" {whether it was free or for sale} is going to do additional work to make their characters, whether for themselves or for to sell or share.
In addition to the skin textures, one uses bump maps, displacement maps and/or normals.
..........
Checking the file for downloading ... that type of eyebrow can be applied either using the L.I.E. options in D/S or {more commonly} applied in a layer over the face layer in an image editor. One is able to make both a browless skin as well as one with a set of eyebrows. Also in the marketplace {whether for free or for sale} are a number of fiber eyebrows which is why one might want a browless face to start with.
Oh okay... weel seems like I was the wrong one for that skin, I was a bit confused why its called merchant :/
Its a confusing new world. And I checked shareCG for clothes but nearby everything was texture for already aviable clothes, so not clothes themself...
