I'd like to set up the Puppet tool for visemes to facilitate some animation dialogue. But I can't get the system to control the mouth. It controls other parts of the rig fine. Is there something about visemes that prevent their control by the puppet tool?
Does that matter? Shouldn't the puppet tool work with all figures? I'm suing Toon Generations 2, which I understand is based on the Genesis 3 structure.
Sorry, I was thinking of PowerPose - where the Genesis 8 figures have a more detailed template. I just loaded Genesis 3 Female, opened Puppeteer, and in Edit mode created three dots and set the Visemes differently for each - then dragging in preview mode the mouth moved as expected.
Hmmm...thanks, I'll keep trying to diagnose it. I've been tempted to upgrade to the Gen 8 version of Toon figures in order to use powerpose, but that might complicate much of the animation I've already set up.
Still can't figure this out. The Puppet tool works on facial expressions with the Captain Charisma figure but not with Morpheus or the Toon Gen 2 figures. Why would this work with one Genesis 3 figure but not others?
Okay, I think my mistake is in trying to do too much...combining visemes along with expressions and head moves on the same puppeteer layer. Apparently, you need different layers for every item. So I've had success in having mouth moves on one layers, head moves on another, and expressions on a third. Looking forward to playing with this tool!
