Black lines/spot on forehead issue

So, I've seen this issue pop up several times now. And I can't seem to get it fixed. The character is not moved from the standard spawn spot, the hair was tested with and without smoothing on. I've also tested other hairs, but they also seem to have the same issue (not all, but mostly OOT hairs). I've gotten this issue with many saved characters and I'm starting to get a bit hopeless, I tried every possible solution I've found on other forum posts. But none of them seem to work.
It seems to change based on camera angles and lights and HDRi's I use. But it's severly limiting my options. In the included picture the lines aren't that bad, but sometimes they cover a very large part of the forehead and pieces of the hairline itself.
The model is a Genesis 8 female, with several character morphs. Using a Skinbuilder 8 skin. The issue got worse in 4.12.

I have this too. It is the skull cap of the hair poking through. Someone posted earlier that the problem occurs when the hair resolution is different than the character. I tend to just fix it in photoshop, but I agree, it has happened more lately.
How can I see/change the resolution of that then? Too bad I'm not great at photoshop, but I might be able to at least try and fix it.
This is the original thread https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/367691/hair-black-squiggles-lines-intersections-in-iray-render-solution-inside#latest
It looks like it is Dark Ponytail Hair from Renderosity. I have the same problem (also mostly or maybe only OOT hairs) the sollution is to use the parameters Adjust-ForeHeadDepth (+35%), Adjust-ForeHeadHeight (-24%) and Adjust-ForeHeadWidth (+100%), The figures mentioned is what I have used on one character, they may not work for another. It's not a perfect sollution as it creates a distance between the hair and the head - BUT - it takes away the dark spots. Best thing would of course be if OOT made sure the hairs workproperly out of the box...
All the OOT hairs I have work perfect out of the box, for the default figure it was built on. There is no way PA can add every single addon morph to their hairs, that's why they add the adjustments instead.
Thanks, I'll look in that then.
Yes it is :) I really like how it looks, I'll also try your settings, I tried changing them a bit, but it starts looking weird pretty fast (like the hair dissapearing in her head). I didn't have that much of a problem with them before, I've not been doing this for that long, so maybe I did something I didn't do before and that's what's causing the problems.
Edit: I seem to have overlooked 2 of those forehead adjustments and it does indeed remove the lines. Although now the hair does look like it's floating over her head in some spots. I guess I'll have to play with it some more. Hopefully this doesn't mean there are different settings for each camera angle and lighting situation.
They did work great for me too, but it got worse over time. I'm not sure why it worked before and then started falling apart somehow (Also, I apologize for my English as it's not my first language).
Yes, that's true, but, whatever that protrudes the forehead in certain cases, it's not a vital part of the hair and then it would be better if it was transparent...transparent = no problem..
It's the haircap, usually textured with a hair textue, some hairs look really bad without it, like the person hair is falling out. Others it looks OK without it. The black means the polygons are occupying the same space I think.
... one day I came across some free skullcaps and have since wondered if everybody's been using them or what. They covered most if not all of the forehead. Cause lots of problems. And I have yet to see any one person growing hair on their forehead. So free tip: ... it is quite for the content makers to delete unrequired polygons from skull caps before using them, please and thank you.
I had a pair of eyebrows causing this from the moment I tried them out, so I switched those. It just started happening again (seems to be due to a pose causing the eyes to be pulled up) and I immediately thought this was an eyebrow issue. Problem is hiding the eyebrows did not fix it. Hiding the hair did. So, I tried the face tweaks listed above and suddenly I was rendering gorilla girl.
Luckily a member in the post linked above had a better solution.
0.5% worked, but I wanted to go smaller. 0.05 didnt, and neither did 0.1 (but it was close... you could barely see the black part now. I went with 0.15 and that was enough. You cant really see the increase in the hair scale at that size, and if I put it back after using this expression things should be fine. Hopefully that helps anyone else who comes to this post from google with this issue.
