Over time I've bought some things that I just can't seem to get the hang of using. Hellboy's Lashes Utility, for example. I try using this, and nothing happens. There is no user manual. Anyone with experience in this product who cares to explain or share?
Thank you! Based on the commercial thread, probably I didn't select the actual lashes. I'll try that. But PS ... just in case ... I don't know exactly where to find the anatomy folder....
Just assume I know nothing, which is largely true - I have no idea where to find the "people" file. Sorry - just not part of my work flow at this point. Tried poking around in a few of the DAZ3d files in my documents, but can't find anything like that....?
Are you using Smart Content or Content Library in Daz Studio?
ETA: I've just gone into DAZ Studio to do a step-by-step to finding the component parts. See the attachments - first set are using Smart Content (note that I have put a filter for PA "Hellby" because I have pages and pages of content - you don't need to do this, I just did it to keep the diagrams clear)
1 - Loading the lashes on a G8F (with G8F selected in the scene)
2 - Select the lashes (not the base)
3 - Applying shaping
4 - Changing Colour
5 - Other options - I picked a density setting
If you prefer to use Content Library, then here is how to dig down through the library structure to find the lashes, shaping and materials.
Again I have so much content (after nearly ten years of buying) that I have multiple content libraries - the one you want to start with (mine is called "DAZ Studio 4 Master Content" but yours will probably be called something different) is the place where you install your content through DIM or manually.
If you use Connect to install, I'm sorry but I have never used it so can't say how to navigate through that.

Can you believe I am just now getting around to this? Life intervenes. But I really appreciate your thoughtful response and YES - I did get the utility to WORK! Brilliant. Thanks so much.

There's an Instruction script in (I think) the Anatomy folder - this pops up text about how to load, etc)
In case you can't find that, try reading this from the Commercial thread: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/3152376/#Comment_3152376
ETA: The text there uses G2F as an example, but the same instructions apply to G3F/G8F and the male versions.

It should be under People>Genesis2/3/8 Female/Male> Anatomy
Yes the lashes themselves need to be selected.

Finally - finding the instructions.
