Two DAZ versions installed Side by Side - How?

I have DAZ 4.10 installed which I'm very happy with on my creaking old PC.  However, I would like to look over the latest 4.12 version but keep 4.10 as my main installation at the same time.

I know this can be done, but failed to find the instructions after searching here. Can someone please give me an idiots' step by step guide?

Thanks in advance.

you can have a beta version installed alongside a full version, as long as they aren't the same release version.

Thanks for replying. So it really is as simple as downloading this

And that in no way will mess with what I already have installed?

I'm vary wary, as my system is CPU only and I know it's just about at it's limit with DAZ. I just want to see whats going on with the latest version first hand before I splash cash on a whole new set up.

There's a bit more to it than that I think,   I will see if I can find someone to expalin more,
I don't actually use Daz Studio.

The beta is setup with different settings and tech files than the general release, so no, it won't mess up your main install.
That's the reason why you have to use DIM to install the betas.

Since it's apparently the first time you install a beta you'll need to set its preferences so it can see your content, as it won't use the preferences from your main install.
