RTX 2080TI fails with DCH Studio 441.28, 441.12, but works with 431.86.

Just reporting this to see if anyone else has noticed this. The failure shows up in the logs as GPU failed messages with renders using the CPU. The card looks okay in Device Manager, yet does not work at all with DAZ and the versions mentioned in the discussion title. Note that size of the render does not matter. A box stock G8 male will fail immediately with nothing else in the scene (default viewport size).
Computer is an Alienware R4 laptop using the RTX 2080ti in a graphics amplifier, 4k display, 32gig memory, 4tb SSD hard drive space.

I'm still on Studio 430.86,tried latest Game ready and Studio ones and in Octane and other renderers I have got CUDA errors in best case, strangely in Blender 2.81 or V-RAY NEXT no issues, not sure where is issue there but I think Nvidia updated CUDA OptiX driver in their latest drivers and this is what is causing but maybe I'm just wrong on this
Hope this helps
Thanks,Jura
I downloaded the 440 driver when it first came out and my RTX 2060 stopped rendering. It was being seen by Studio but it went straight to CPU. I rolled back to the 431 driver and have had no trouble since. These are the Studio drivers, and not the Gaming drivers, which nVidia recommends for rendering..
The difference between Nvidia Studio drivers and Game Ready drivers is more QA/testing. Nothing different technically. That is why Studio drivers are released less frequently. Game Ready drivers are often puhsed out to solve some issue with a new popular game.
Have you tried the new(sih) Public Build, 4.12.1.40? https://www.daz3d.com/daz-studio-beta
No, I haven't. I'm generally not much for beta software. Does this fix the issue with 441.x drivers?

I take it Nvidia isn't going to fix the "defect"?

I have no idea - presumably Iray and the drivers are separate teams, so we can't conclude from a workaround that there won't be a driver update.
They will update the driver eventually.
Being that it's inherent in 44x.x series drivers, it would seem they should fix it, I mean, those versions of driver render (no pun) iRay useless. I'll try the beta.

Beta crashed on first render. :( Oh, well. I'll wait until it's a general release, now.
