Subtle stripes on skin in render

I'm not sure how to describe this.  The attached pic show sections of 2 renders of the same model with the same render settings.  The one on the left shows very subtle slightly darker stripes, inside the area with the box around it.  The one on the right just has the model turned a bit.

Can anyone tell me what is causing those stripes and how to get rid of them?

Thanks...

  • This sometimes happens when you use the skin from a different generation. Does the skin belong to
    the Characters generation?

You din't make a clothing item invisible by reducing its opacity, by any chance?

    ? I see ribs.

Turn her more, move the light, light that side, up the figures weight a pinch.

Adjust or modify torso surfaces color or displacement, paint ribs off the torso map.

If same settings I would worry more about why the background is like 5 shades of lighter blue.

If not just ribs up the samples count.

  • I've seen this happen when VRAM is getting low but not quite enough to drop to cpu. Also one of the characters I bought does this. Try using skin from a different character and see if it replicates.

This has happened to me with a certain skin I have. The stripes only appear if the scene is too dark but if you let it render more, the stripes go away on their own. In your example, the stripes were gone because you turned the figure to where there was more light.
