How do I fit footwear on cloned V4 figures?
hi all
I'm able to get V4 clothes to fit perfect on cloned V4 figures when using GF3 F but am striking out on footwear.....am able to get a few shoes that load one at a time to work by parenting then to the feet of the clone... but all attempts in using the transferr utility and other footwear from both V4 and GF3 have failed.
one way to fit footwear from V4 to default GF3 F is to position the legs and feet into the shoe/boot and then use the transferr utility ... a cloned V4 figure is positioned correctly with V4 footwear ....is there a way to transferr the morphs without distortion?
thanx

You don't. Shoes, especially heels have a huge issue with autofit and from i have seen on the forums there really isn't a solution other than rerigging them to GF3.
FSMDesigns ....I wasn't talking about using the auto-fit but rather the transferr utility.
after I posted I realized I've never tried transferring morphs for footwear with the same method I usually use for clothing.....I tried and it does work with no distortion however there's a problem with the toes and feet poking through....with boots the feet can made invisible in the scene panel but with shoes the toes are a problem unless the soles are extra thick to hide the toes or the feet are kept flat on the floor....or if the design of the shoe allows it the toes can be made invisible.
here's what I did if anyone is interested and as I mentioned earlier this method works well with V4 clothing.
1.load shoes/shoe/clothing item with GF3 unselected
2.select shoes/shoe/clothing item and fit to GF3 choosing "unsupported" and "none"
3.select GF3 and transfer V4 clone morphs in the shaping panel
4.go back into the scene panel and select the shoes/shoe/clothing item
5.go to Parameters/Actor/Generation X and change GCF setting to 0%.
a few more examples ....the V4 Pumps are such that if the toes are made invisible the open design would show the missing part of the foot......but the thick soles of the Clunky Shoes hides this problem.
You could the method in this thread and see it it helps

FSMDesigns ..thanks but I have noticed that thread in my google searches on the subject.
the method I described above works quite well with boots that load as a pair....the feet and toes have to be hid through the scene panel but that had to be done on some of the boots when using Daz3 as well.
