Shows up as 10.95 in my cart.

Hmm... That must be because I bought Jack Tomalin's Rural Chateau last month. I've noticed PhilW's Advanced Carrara Techniques is also 40% off. I wonder....

    DAMMIT!

Now I'm broke for the rest of the month, and it's only the 3rd! Badlands down to 8.97 and Phil's vid for 44.98! Just don't tempt me with anything else before May!

Gosh you got an extra $ off....wow. I think, I beat you other UK/Euro or Red Eye US folks and was the first to buy this morning. Not sure. Phil is extra off, too? WOW! But he's worth every penny, too

DART, HOPE YOU SELL A HUNDRED JUST TODAY...I can wait to start working with it ASAP. Thanks for a super product (as usual!) Now get busy and make more cool Carrara stuff....and pester DAZ to get Bryce authors to make their stuff work in Carrara as well.

    Cheers! xx :) :-) Silene

More than that - an extra $3 off Badlands, and an extra 15% off Phil. I picked up this week's freebies and some PC items that'll look good in promo renders (planning ahead!) Worked out as £40 + change total, according to PayPal, which actually wasn't as bad as I imagined (£27.10 for the vid, £5.42 for Badlands, £7.70 for the PC bits)

@Bigh: you used the word "good" so it won't be me! (that's why I need the vid - lots of stuff I simply haven't got the hang of yet...)

For the foreground plants, don't be afraid to bunch the Badlands Weed (basic plants) into each other to get a dense formation like that. So instead of having any room between them, the overlap a lot, and form bunches of them. They can do a great job with that.

Aarrggh - I wanted to be first! Here is my first image, uses the Oasis default scene with a moved camera position and added the figure and a couple of ships (Prometheus Two by London224). I call it "Counting Them Back In".

Thanks. You made a set that is easy to use even for the beginner in Carrara, as myself.
    Will explore this set further.

Wow... this is cool! I love those ships! Glad to see you folks having fun with it.

You know, I use EnvironKits presets all the time now, myself. It's a great, quick way to start ;)

    Thank you good sir.

As you know, I am not a prolific poster at any time and with tax season still upon me I have not had a whole lot of time. However, I can never miss opportunity to purchase a product made by you!

In addition, I have been quietly seething over the way that DAZ treats Carrara and it’s user base. I had hopes that things would, for once, be different and that DAZ would at least acknowledge that they have failed to produce on their promised delivery date for Carrara 9. New day, same old DAZ - unfortunately.

I find it unconscionable that DAZ does not at least address the issue in some way, but I am in no way surprised by this. They have a long history of just burying their heads in the sand, and ignoring the Carrara user base. What would the downside be to just post a little something regarding their progress, or lack thereof, for the promised release of the next Carrara version?

Anyway, I digress, and I do not want to muddy the focus on the release of another great Dartanbeck product. Congratulations and keep them coming!

I really want to buy this but I'm desperately waiting for the Octane Render Carrara plugin. I don't know what's making me hesitate buying this wonderful product (I own all the others) but maybe it's because I'm used to rendering with Octane Render in DAZ and it's hard to give that up and move over to Carrara without OR. :(

    Where is OR for Carrara!!!!!

Thanks guys! No, really... thank for all of the kind words!

Superdog, take your time. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon... as far as I know, anyways! ;)

As for news regarding Carrara 9, I agree with Kakman. While I truly do stand by DAZ 3D, I really wish that they weren't so rude to us regarding Carrara development. Sure, they could say the same... I've seen the devs get hit with some pretty rude come-backs in posts of the past. But that certainly has not been the majority of us. We are, for the most part, a well-mannered group of CG enthusiasts whom really don't deserve to be ignored like this. I told them as much too. After all, I consider them to be my friends as well as my publisher. What kind of a friend would I be if I didn't point out that they're being rude to the wrong people, right? I get a feeling that there is some form of a new(ish) hierarchy going on that's forcing our Carrara developers to keep their tongues in their mouths. Well shame on them for not appointing someone to come in and say... well... something - anything!

But, yeah... let's not get down about such "out-of-our-hands" BS... we should be rendering instead! :coolhmm:

Thanks Stezza! My main intent in this whole journey is to pack a large amount of quality and fun (and inspiration) into each preset, and price it as if you're just buying the one that you like best, and the rest come for free. And as an added bonus, all of the parts that I created to make it happen get their own respective presets as well... so you can go in and build anything you want! It's my way of attempting to give back to my wonderful Carrara - wielding friends!

I spent a lot of time coming up with a method to help ensure that each EnvironKit and all of its elements can work with the next, and so on. So these terrains work in the others, and vice versa. The shaders are interchangeable too.

Anyways, I'm really glad to see the response.
    Thank you very much!

We've had torrential rain here last night!

Gotta go clean out the valley gutter on the house.. had a drip at the front door last night!

and more torrential rain is forecast for today..

Before I start though I did this image very quickly to show how I can use your environments..

    Happy chappy :-)

Question about Starry Sky: Is it at all accurate? i.e. can it be dialled to give an approximation of the constellations I might see at a particular time and place, or is it more or less random/fantasy?
