trouble using store credit and gift card together

I am trying to use my store credit first plus some from my gift card to for a purchase.

however, as i go through check out , i click on 'use store credit' and then I want to add my gift card.

then as I proceed it doesn't accept my store credit . it just wants to take from the gift card only.

can i combine both?

    Normally when you have a gift card you claim it and it then turns into store credit. So they are one and the same really.

    When you go to your account dashboard, and check store credit, you will see on the store credit page

    OK I was using the gift card each time i made an individual purchase. TY for the clarification.
