Hair on the arm of a man
Hey,
I just made this test render, with G8 Male.
ANd it looks not that bad, but is it possible to add extra hair on it, so it have a more real look? And is there a way to make the hand/body older? And if yes, are there free ways?
Thanks :)
Oh and is there also other options to make the render more realistic? I use the iray render in UHD.
And a last question, can I set that this is permanent set:
Because, the viewport options is for me useless, after clicking or something its instant gone, and I want it always in a new window, but have to set it everytime I open daz3d.

For body hair I would recommend this product, although it's just one of many possibilities: https://www.daz3d.com/jepes-bodyhair-project-78
Thanks, sadly not free.
I just checked the Gen2male body and for soem reason it look more older and his hand/arm is more hairy :) but indeed just "drawed".
You could try adding your own strand-based hair. This thread shows you more about strand-based hair (originally only in DS Beta but now in the formal release): https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/326996/dforce-hair-as-well-as-strand-based-hair-and-the-strand-based-hair-editor-in-public-beta/p1
And here's a good mini-tutorial - you would want to select "Arms" rather than "Torso" and "Face" in the first step: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/335676/strand-based-hair-mini-tutorial/p1
Thanks, I used the tutorial, but I have the problem, that it seems like I have to create the hair for every bodypart as new layer, because if I hide the left arm, the hair will still be visible :(
Yes, you would need to create a separate hair section for each body part if you want to make some hair visible but hide other parts.
By the way, on your other question about Spot Render to New Window not being remembered from one session to another - I don't think it is possible. But why don't you just use the Render button at the top of the Render Settings panel instead of the spot render tool - it will always create the image in a new window.
Hey, because sometimes I just wanna check render a part, thats why this feature excist ;) I make only small renders, my I5 CPU isnt good enough for big renders... I also think about getting a small laptop to watch netflix on it and doing stuff during render, because the rendering is gonna freeze everything :(
(edit: I realized I have a PS4 and can watch/play games/netflix there haha... that thing get pretty dusty...)
Fair enough - just thought I'd check.
