A "gummy translucency" effect on a surface

Hi all
What I'm trying to get here is to put one object inside of another (say, inside a cube) and to change the cube's surface settings (in Iray) so that it's tranculent. I want to be able to see the object inside the cube, but not necessarily all the way through.
Any hints you can give on how to accomplish that?
Thanks!

Not an IRay expert but played with the IRay Uber for a while out of interest. I put a sphere inside a cube and adjusted teh surface for the cube.
Translucency weight 0,5
Refraction weight 0.5
Thin walled off to enable subsurface scattering
Transmitted color pure white
Scattering measurement distance 50
SS amount 1
And with refraction index at 1 and scattering measurement distance 30:
...and a final one with these settings:
Hope that helps;)
I've used this a few times: https://www.daz3d.com/gummy-shader-presets-for-iray
Thanks so much!
Try IRAY shaders "Wax" and "Jade", they come with the base program.
