Getting a Hair Cut? (Clipping Hair, or Hair that passing through objects)

Folks,

I'm new to CG modeling, but I've always been interested.

I finally decided that I was going to actually make some headway here...

One major issue I have been having is that I can't figure out how to get Daz3d to properly prevent objects from interposing on each other. For example, having hair cut through a limb, a cape, or a head piece.

For example, for grins, I am using TerryMCG's Scarlet Witch Cosplay outfit, and while I can get it to look right. I can't get either the Mitsu or LoveMeNot hair style to fit properly with the Headpiece. (see https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/241415/Daz3d/scarlet_test1.png or the attachment).

I'm learning all sorts of tricks for clothing, and body morphing, but I can't seem to find any good tutorials on hair editing / collision detection, etc? I have found tutorials on making your own hair, but I think that's a bit too power user for me right now.

Can anyone help with some pointers and information?

First, you could look into the surfaces of your hair. Maybe it contains different material zones and you might be fine with making the disturbing hair parts invisible by setting their opiacity to 0%

If this is not working then you can try to render the image again without hair, so that you get the face mask without the disturbing hair, and then blend the two images in a 2D software. Maybe some additional deleting will be needed.
