hi all
asking about the tool that is a combination of spheres within spheres that is usually displayed in the top left corner of the viewport.
I'm using the Hollywood Blvd version.

I'm not using the Hollywood layout ... are you talking about the Camera Cube? From tiny drop down arrow with lines > show/hide.
They're referring to the Pose Tool, Catherine, but you are correct - Show Pose Tool is one of the options in the drop-down menu you pointed to.

Hes good, Pose Tool vs Camera Cube. They are both on the viewport menu though. You also need a figures poseable bone selected for the pose tool to appear.

Yeah I saw the option for pose tool but nothing happened when I clicked that. Apparently didn't have the correct type of figure in the scene.
I found it.....it was available through the drop down menu in the viewport but I somehow missed it.
in case someone who is new to Daz is wondering what I was looking for here is an example.
