Why does daz3d need my billing information

I recently made a new account and was getting some of the freebies but when i tried to checkout, even though every item was free, it still asked for my billing information. Just wanted to know why this is.

    Because they are store items and that means, according to the software, that they are not free but are at 100% discount.  They will appear in your Store account and your product library.

    Are you sure everything was free in the cart? I don't have stored payment details, since I usually use PayPal to buy a Gift card, and it doesn't complain when purchasing freebies.

    The OP may mean the billing address, rather than the payment details (like you, I don't store payment details but at some point in the past I was required to enter my address).

    Yes, you need an address registered to order something, even if its free. Daz needs this for the order receipt.
