Studio Crashing before asking to connect

Studio is crashing before the dialog that asks if you want to work offline or connect. It just stops, and if you click anywhere other than the close button, you get the busy icon and can only close the program. I have tried to uninstall Studio using the IM and then reinstalling but, nothing. I didn't restart the computer between or uninstall anything but the one program file, though, if that makes any difference. I am using 4.12 and it has worked in the past. There have been NO updates to WIN 7 since it worked. Mostly all I've done is download new content with DIM.
Any suggestions would be helpfull.

Can you send us a copy of the log file
Where do I find that? I can't do anything in Studio, so I can't look there.
Gus
Under Windows the log will can be found in %AppData%\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4
Than you Leana!
Here's the log file.

Windows 7 Service Pack 1 is rather an old version - that doesn't mean it's the root of your issue, but it is slightly suspect.
Sorry, I was spouting nonsense.
****This is a portion of the log of the last time Studio actually ran.

Any ideas anyone or, should I put in a ticket?
Gus
Well, it's obviously having trouble connecting to PostgreSQL - has your security software chnaged or had a version update recently?
No it hasn't. It has always complained about connecting to PostgreSQL. It then goes on to the dialog about connecting and all.

Can someone point me to the instructions for totally removing Studio from my system? Maybe if I try a totally clean install it might work. I'd rather not have to download all my content again, but I don't think that will be necessary.
Gus
Problem solved.
