Can you edit pose preset (duf)?

If it didn't work out, can it be edited?
Or maybe we have to start over ?.

Like with just about any other software - load the preset, edit, save.

You can use the pose presets as are, or modify them further and save as your own pose presets. You manipulate them using the various tools found in the tools settings pane. Maybe you find this tutorial useful:
