Strange skin appearance with uber full moon light (3Dlight)

Using uberenvironment full moon light, the skin of Jayce appears as he was was a leper (see file). Using for instance a regular spotlight, the skin appears perfectly normal. What could cause this, and is there a way to fix this problem without changing the light? Thanks in advance.

You are referring to the graininess? To fix that you need to increase the AO samples for the UE2. The default max is 128, but if needed you can remove the limits and use 256 or even more. To get better shadow detail you can decrease the UE2 shading rate from the default 32 to 16 or less, at the expense of rendertimes.

You think that the brown spots on the skin are just graininess?

And where do I find the UE2 shading rate/samples? Is that different from the general shading rates/samples in render settings?

Select the UE2 light, go to the parameters pane/light. Yes it has its own quality settings. And it's called occlusion samples, sorry for that;)
