Left-Hand Hot Rod Upgrade - Freebie

Td3dTd3d Posts: 412

Given the fact that not everyone drives on the correct, ...rather, "Right" side of the road (pun intended), I've created a small conversion for the first of the Wild Fantasy rods. As with the Roadster upgrade, this upgrade will not overwrite the original product you paid for. The dash instruments, steering and suspension work as they originally did. This is simply an add-on morph that allows you to put the steering wheel, column and pedals on the left hand side. The pedals and steering wheel move the other parts as they always did.

You will need to own the Wild Fantasy Hot Rod for this to be of any use though. https://www.daz3d.com/wild-fantasy-hot-rod

This mod won't alter the look of the suspension or steering box/rods. But it definately allows for a driver on left hand side. There is a morph slider that will be found in the Prop's main pose Parameters tab. And there are two presets that will be found in the Prop's Content Library Tab folders.

Yeah, whoever designed that hot rod must have been from the UK, Australia, or one of those other countries which drive on the wrong side of the road. cheeky

No we drive on the right side of the road,  which of course everyone knows is the left hand side.  Our trains run on the left hand side of the tracks as well.

Oh and BTW,   the person who made the hot rod is the smae person as who has provided the freebie

In the US we drive on the right side of the road, literally, as in the right-hand side.

  • Thanks for freebie, I like the steering in the middle like the McLaren sport car. I purchased this because there are very few Hotrods for Daz. Happy Holidays

...hahaha, Left, Right. So confusing. Someone must've went back home one day talking about this thing some one invented somewhere. Got so excited about replicating it that they didn't realize til it was too late, that they put the wheel on the wrong side! ...and had about a hundred of 'em on a steam ship heading to market. What a screw up! Obviously that boat-load got rejected and detoured to Australia. All we cared about was that it went forward and we didn't have to walk a hundred miled to town anymore. ..just chuck a Kingswood badge on it mate! We'll take all of 'em!

Yup, ...true story :) Happy Holidays

Here is what I used to do with a right side driver. I load the car, then I click on each part of the car that is listed that is part of the body. Then I go to the paremeters tab and I use the "scale" button and I set it to -100, that's minus 100 and it will flip that part without moving it from the car. On some cars you can select all the parts at once using the "ctrl" button or "shift" button, not sure which. After this is done just resave the car. Works for me.

Yeah sounds like a simple fix. How do you go with the rigging doing this? I am guessing there would be some issues to deal with. But for a "still" image, it probably wouldn't matter.

  • Thank you for the upgrade, purchased the car :-)
