Making a new surface, how do I add an opacity cutout?

    Add the property (you need to selct the surface and apply the iray Uber Base preset) or create a map (black for the cut out areas, white for the opaque, following the model's UVs)?

    I wanted to give this some examples.  I always learn better from pictures.  I created the cutout in Photoshop.

    Thanks . But what do you do if the cut out opacity option is not there? How do you enable it then?
