Can someone please explain to me how to light a scene with a skybox?

I use the pre-loaded lights that come with the set that I bought, but for some reason they never show up in the final render. I know it's because I'm doing something wrong, but what could it be? The settings are all at default, I can see the lighting in the active viewport via the preview lighting option, and I drag around the lighting props to make sure they are in the scene. What could I be doing wrong?

Skyboxes tend to be 3Delight things, in Iray they usually end up blocking the lights. There are Skybox products that work in Iray, but checking that you ar using one and that the right version is being used would be the first step.
Hmmm, I believe that is most likely the problem. I was trying to render in Iray, but this is the package I was using and I don't think this offers a support for Iray lights https://www.daz3d.com/easy-environments-road-to-hell
Thank you for this information. I'll definately try 3delight now!
Flipmode has a tutorial for converting skyboxes to iray

Thank you so much!!!
Go to the Scene Tab, delete the skybox/dome, go to the Environment Tab, click on Environment Map and use the diffuse map from the skybox/dome in there. If you click on the skybox/dome map under the Surface Tab before deleting the box/dome you will see which image is used there.
