Content Database -- how to do a "clean start" on D drive?

Over the years I've accumulated a lot of content, but am now trying to clean out the content database and restrict all installs to a "My Library" folder on my fast D: drive (an SSD).
But try as I might, I can't manage to get rid of past installed content-- deleting Daz Studio and reinstalling, Daz Install Manager still shows some 3000 installed products, even if they're not there. And when loading new content from Daz Connect, it ignores all my preferences and installs them on my C: drive (which has very little space)
What do I need to do to scrub all history of Daz Studio and prior installs, install it to D:, and make sure that all content gets installed to D:?

DIM, and DS, share settings for where everything is and stores it all in a DB, Postgres.Your options are to manually uninstall everything, and then DIM will DL everything and install it in the correct location, or uninstall the DB.
I am told (by Rob) that Install Manager and Daz Studio do NOT "share settings for where everything is and [store] it in a DB." Metadata for content is installed to a common database, but Install Manager uses a folder of manifest files to know which packages/files it installed and where. The location for this folder is specified in the Settings dialog, on the Installation page. Rather than manually deleting the manifest files, it would be wiser to uninstall the packages (to clean up any other files/data in places you may have missed) or to use the Re-Install functionality provided by Install Manager (which performs an uninstall followed immediately by an install to the currently chosen Content Install Path - which you can set to your desired location on the new drive).
The path for files installed via Daz Connect can be seen/modified in the Content Directory Manager (Content Library pane option menu).
