Is there an easy (or best) method to use to prevent the hair on this Yeti from coming through the hat?

Well I don't know about the Yeti, but for other G8 characters I like to use https://www.daz3d.com/sy-hat-and-hair-helper-genesis-8 which has to be applied BEFORE the hair, and with the hat going on last.
Thanks! I'll try that.
Thanks for that link. Didn't even know that product existed.
Had the same issue awhile back & ended up semi cheating. Exported all out to Lightwave & just gave him a bit of a geometry trim.
Looks great! I don't own Lightwave, but I ended up fixing it by doing two renders, one with Yeti dForce hair and one without the hair. Then using layers in Photoshop to merge them together carefully.
I'm going to buy the product in the link for next time so that I literally "do not have to pull my hair out". LOL
