Hi,
I was trying to make a Genesis 8 figure a kid at around age 7, 1.20 meters height.
I tried different techniques, from scaling down the body in blender and importing it as a morph to using the genesis 8 body morphs from DAZ originals.
Nothing seems to work.
It seems crazy to me that we can make the head of a kid in a few seconds but we can't make a body.
Can anyone help me out, if they managed to do it (without the Growing up Bundle) and tell me which sliders they used.
This is my result with the morphs.

I had to remove the image as it was showing the skn texture - for issues like this please remember to use Smooth Shaded preview, or remove the textures.
Had you adjusted the rigging to the new shape - Joint Editor tool right-click menu?
I thought since it is depicting a kid the texture doesn't matter anymore (what would offend? the nipple of a 7-year old?).
I have tried adjusting the rigging at the end and it doesn't work but maybe I was supposed to adjust the rigging every step of the way as well, not only at the end.
I will try again and come back with a post of my newly looking mutant kid with a smooth shaded preview.
It does matter in most countries around the world, which is why Daz has https://www.daz3d.com/terms-of-service
Note point number 8 under Gallery and Posted Image Conduct.
I would have thought it was in relation to what the child was doing. Since even a PG-13 movie can show a kid in the bath. It doesn't have to cover or censor him, since it is and should not be asociated with anything sexual. If you go more towards teenagers, things tend to get murky.
Although looking at daz store, newborns are fine with nipples. Anything older is not.
Anyways, I will follow the rules since I do not care one way or another and am not about chaging them. I was just explaining my train of thought when I posted the image.
Back on topic, I have played some more with the morph dials. The rigging was a part of the problem. The other problem was using the height measurement that kind of makes the figure disproportionate.
I am now able to bring down to size almost everything. The only problems are I can't seem to be able to downsize the stomach area and the calves, ass and crotch area are starting to look weird and I can't find a dial to correct them.
I recall reading years ago of laws in the States that images of children were to have clothes on them from the waist down. So I tend to apply color to the hip and torso areas to look like they are wearing shorts and Ts.
Anyways, to downsize a figure, try using the resizer on the Parameters Tab. I did that and saved out a pose preset. This is for G8F, you can dial in as much or little as you want to, then export out the base mesh to reimport it to the default figure to make a morph. If it must be a morph. Thing is there are a lot of joint controlled morphs so even after adjusting rigging to mesh, there could be issues.
Thank you for your response.
I don't know I didn't think about normal scaling :). The basic problem with that would be that it creates a smaller adult, and doesn't have the proportions of a child but I think a combo of both could work.
In the meantime I played with the morphs and blender modeling and sculpting and created my own morph for kids. I don't think it works properly with everything (at least for the youngest version, skirts get tangled up), but by itself it looks decent.
Following are 3 stages of growing up using the same custom morph resulting from today's work.
If anyone has any feedback on it, please feel free to let me know, I would love to perfect it.
You're making progress!
