So many products won't install through DIM!

In DIM it looks like everything is installed but hundreds of items including some G8 pro bundles are showing as grey in the not installed section of Smart Content.I try uninstalling them and reinstalling through DIM, but they won't install! I have a LOT of products and probably about 400-600 won't install. I have so many products that I didn't even realize a huge chunk was missing! How can I get them to install? I don't want to use connect...

Are you able to see the files from those products in te Content Library pane, under Daz Studio Formats?
I can never find anything in the content pane so I did an alphabetical search for Sydney and no, it's not there, so I'm assuming the rest aren't... 33 of the items are also in lost and found in smart content, but hundreds are showing as not installed...
What do mean an alphabetical search?
I have this problem, too. I have over 2100 DAZ products and found at least 1500 of them weren't showing in Smart Content. So I uninstalled everything using the Install Manager. I created a brand new directory on my D: drive [my C: drive is tiny]. It is D:\3D\3D Assets. I moved all my My DAZ Library assets there, all my Poser content, all my 3rd Party content, everything. I used DIM to reinstall all the DAZ content.
I still have a blank Content Library, even after redefining all my paths and don't think everything in Smart Content is showing. It takes forever to get anything to show in Smart Content, too.
I know the next step is to uninstall the program and reinstall. But, I'm 61 years old and not in good health, so you know, I'm putting it off :)
My D: drive is fairly new [less than a year old] and 4TB, about 3/4 full. My C: drive was in the red as in overfull, but I moved some large files off it and it is not in the red now.
I am on a Win 10 Pro i7 with 2 cores and a speed of 2.60-2.81 GHz, a Microsoft Surface Laptop that is a year old. It has an NVidia HD card that was built for this machine but can do high-end gaming and is supposed to be good for general computer graphics uses also. I've been enjoying it for both purposes. It has 16gb RAM and the C: is solid-state but only 476 GB with 416 used. The D drive is slow, so is this slowing down my Smart Content? Is the way I named the new path making it hard for DAZ to find my files? I was hoping a simpler, less nested path would help things....
My usual render is 2000x3000 and takes, on average, 30 mins. But, just looking for a specific item in Smart Content takes about 4 mins or so a search. It's very tedious [sigh].
Any ideas much appreciated!
The only way I can find anything in the regular content pane is to look under Products where it lists everything alphabetically which is fine if I'm looking for a specific product but I use the Smart Content pane in general for everything. In any case, all those hundreds of greyed out items are NOT installed although DIM says they are. I know I could double click on them and install through Connect but I'd rather stick to DIM. I don't see any pattern with what installed and what didn't....
I've not noticed this issue, but I leave smart content well alone.
I only use the content library, and I have access to all the G8/3 figures I have bought (soooo many of them), and pretty sure all G2/1 and V4, but I'm working my way backward, and converting them to G8 (textures). I still have lots to do, but haven't so far seen an issue there either.
Like many features in various products with Smart in them, I find it far from smart.
@DanniStories "after redefining all my paths"
The path within Studio's "Content Directory Manager" must match the path in DIM Installation tab (gear icon, in the upper right corner),
I know. 90% of my DIM products install correctly. It's a random 10% that doesn't. Everything is set to go to the same directory.
That's going to fail if Smart Content fails, they are both dependent on the Content Management System. Look in Daz Studio Formats>[Content Directory Used]>[folder listed in read me] and see if the files are visible there (you can launch the read me from DIM by clicking the i-in-a-circle icon, or you can see the location by right-click>Show Installed Files)
Same experience here. I love the Smart Content approach as it saves a lot of time (if working) by filtering matching products.
So with ~10k products purchased (insane, but true), that sums up to around 100 products paid, but not available. From a perfectionst's view a complete nightmare, from the greedy product manager's perspective just peanuts, white noise ("shall they use their other products").
What I do, from time to time, is a metadata re-import, that reduces the amount of missings a lot.
If that doesn't help, I make sure the product is installed via DIM, then find it in the Content Pane, right-click, Delete, close DAZ (correctly, i.e. checking it's not running in the background). After the DAZ restart and the metadata refresh, it's available.
