Everything Old is New Again
I don't know what the word is in English. That's very fitting for the current time and a good end to the month.

Oh that's so cool Simon.. an old and a new airplane... We have an air show every year in Cleveland and I love looking at the old planes.. Not sure we will have one this year with all that is going on... We shall see.. THANKs for kicking us off... and yes.. PS.. I noticed the kitteh rawrrrrrrrrrrr... on the old plane. ;)

We used to have air-shows at local airport, but a Hawker Hunter crashed on the road just north (an hour after a friend and I had driven past ..!) with a number of fatalities (not the pilot who was later prosecuted) so they pretty much cancelled all future air-shows on the strength of it :(
Nice one SimonJM, reminds me of my much younger days when the older plane was flying overhead and the newer was a prop for a sci-fi movie on the black and white TV.
Well done Gordig, the new looks like he or she is laughing and the old looks scared. I am working on something similar as well. I just need to figure how to make it TOS acceptable.

Nice work but I have seen it in " The April 2020 Render Challenge: It's Always Sunny in.. "already and I am not sure if you can post renders from another challenge into here. I thought we had to make something new for the challenge but still it's a great render.
Hello, honestly, I am very lazy and your challenge makes me work XD which is nice and the topics are very interesting and it's pretty fun.
Mission accomplished then TristanQEverett ;) I sure hope you will join us for more monthly challenges... OLD/NEW is for May.
btw... We are a little lax with the rules...whilst I would love everyone to make something original for the challenges... it is just a suggestion.... ((this is only a suggestion) IT MUST BE A COMPLETELY “NEW” RENDER specifically for this challenge!!!) I'm such a softie ;) lol.

Playing the old harpsichord and the new synthesiser; but the Song Remains the Same...

Here is my go at Old and New, with a bit of backstory. This is called "I Dare You"
Sys-46 and Pix-Synx went to the engine room to check out an anomaly. They came across an interface device they had never seen before. This was troubling.
Pix: “Wait, what is that thing?”
Sys-46: “I don't know, why are you asking a stupid question?”
Pix: “It's not stupid, I just scanned all the design schematics for this engine room and that thing does not show up on any of them.”
Sys-46: “Well if it isn't part of the original design, who did this and why would it be attached to the main fusion control circuit conduit?”
Pix: “Well that IS a stupid question. It is not supposed to be here.”
Sys-46: “Okay, then if you are soooo.....smart, why don't you just pull the plug.”
Pix: “Look, I am a Level 5 Quantum AI Cyborg and I am smarter than you. You are only a Level 3”
Sys-46: “Okay, like I said, since you know it all, I dare you to pull the plug”
Pix: “Fine, I will pull the plug, what can go wrong?”
Hmm....I am not so sure that is a good idea, but as you know, Cyborgs cannot refuse a dare.
Are you sure that is a new synth nattaruk or just much newer than the harpsichord, either way it looks very good and very well done.
Sisyphus 1977, nicely done and a good back story as well. I'm not into cyborg violence but I would add a vote to pull the plug and see which one flatlines.

I am not sure why I've not been getting notices for this thread.. I DO have the little star ticked... grrrrrrr.. (sighs)...
