RE : http://www.daz3d.com/decimator-for-daz-studio

I was just wondering how this work with regards to morphs.

Can you load a model, say V4.2 and reduce the polygons and then still apply Daz morphs like Morphs++ ?

I need to export morph targets for an external projects you see and it's important that the meshes share the same vertices.

Thanks !

The decimator tends to work better when you have the morphs done first, as you control how much decimation happens in areas, note that clothes crap out when decimation occurs on the clothes.

Yes. The decimator works by reducing the number of faces of the model. The number of vertices stays the same.

Because of the way the decimator works, it will end up with a lot of unconnected vertices which can easily get lost while hammering on the mesh with various tools. But otherwise it should be ok.
