'Preset Exceeds Limits' on G8M poses for G8M.
Hello! Don't know if this discussion is posted in the right forum, if not would like to know where to post it instead.
Anyway. Today I bought two pose sets for the genesis 8 male.
The first one is Faber Inc's Stallion Poses for Genesis 8 Male and Michael 8.
The second one is Manly Poses for Genesis 8 Male and Michael 8 by Cherubit, and if it's worth noting, I don't own the Michael 8 figure.
Some poses work fine but in both set of poses there are some that are for Gensis 8 Male, yet this popup keeps coming up when I select to use them on the current figure which is a modifed G8M.
Preset Exceeds Limits. 'The preset you are applying contains values that are outside the limits for the current item. Would you like to turn the limits off and applay the preset as it was created, or leave the limits on?'
Now what I don't understand is that even if I leave them on clipping still happens, the same if I take them off. Is it caused because I don't own the Michael 8?
Is there some way to fix this problem or do I need to manually pose the parts of the figure that contors or goes through other parts?
Would love some help if at all possible. Thank you for your time beforhand, fellow Dazers! ^w^

Some pose sets are made using a little more range than the default limits allow, and those will (by default) pop up that alert. I susually do a comparison, aply the pose without turning limis off then again and turn limits off and use ctrl z/ctrl y to see how much differene it makes - sometimes the reaxation seems reasonable, sme limits do seem a bit tight compared to a real human, and sometimes not. If yu apply a pose made for a named character, such as Micahel 8, then it may not work without the shape applied - but usually there will also be psoes for the base shape in such sets, check the names and make sure you are using the G8M not M8 (for example) poses, or check the actual folder name in case that is how they are split (if you are using Smart Content or a product view you can use the nfo tab to view the actual path, or right-clck>Show Asset> Show Asset in Virtaul/content folder).
First of all, thank you for taking the time to answer! ^^
Also, as far as I can tell, there is little diffrence to leaving the limits on vs taking them off. It has seperate icons, so I always use the ones which say that they are for the base Genesis 8 male. Both pose sets are for both Michael and the base are in the same folder. I'm currently at a loss as what to do, since using two poses at most when there are 30 in one pack and 24 in the other seems like a waste of money. I'm also not very familiar with problems in Daz3D or programs in general.
Thanks again for you're time, really appriciate it.
You might want to make sure that the Genesis 8 Male pose is zeroed before applying the new pose (Edit>Figure>Zero>Zero Figure Pose) in case a controller that the pose itself doesn't modifiy is adding to the final result and causing intersection.
Edit: in fact, try Edit>Figure>Zero>Zero Figure, there might also be a shape with a non-zero default value that is contributing to the issue. It is worth learning to adjust poses as you are unlikely to want to use theme xclusively with the default shape of the base figure or oen of the Name 8 characters, butt hey certainly should apply to the actual target figure without needing tweaking.
