Anthropomorphs - Chimpanzee issues
I tried to use the the following product today, which I have used successfuly in the past with the same computer, and it is acting finicky.
https://www.daz3d.com/anthropomorphs--chimpanzee-for-genesis-8-male
I cannot merge the chimp into an existing scene without DAZ Studio crashing.
The only way I am able to use the chimp is to merge the figure into a new blank scene and render it that way. But if I try to save and reload the newly created scene with the chimp, I get the crash again (see log file below).
There is only one light in the scene and the Urban Skateboard product. That's it. This same exact scene will save and reload into DAZ with any other figure without any problems.
Does anyone know what the issue could be?? The log file does not say much.

Comments
Are you saying that the merging causes an immediate crash, or that the merged scene can't be rendered without crashing? The log seems to suggest the latter. When was it last working, and was that with the same environment prop? Will the Skate Park render on its own?
It seems to be working fine now. Not sure what the problem was last night and earlier today.
I find that if I want to render something like the Chimps, that need a lot of memory, it's best not to do so after loading/clearing other scenes/renders, and just close then re-open Studio so it all starts fresh. Just clearing a scene does not fully clear the memory.
Thank you dragonfly
That's what I had to do here:
Very nice! I love it!
