Octane Skin Material Help

Hey guys,

I recently started working with Octane Plugin for DAZ and I am trying to create some realistic looking skin. From what i have read so far the "tonysculptor" material from the LiveDB is somewhat popular, so

i tried to work with this. The "TonySculptor Skin R20" in particular. But i cannot for the live of me figure out the right way to use it. I tried to plug the texture maps into the color correction nodes but the results are bad to but it slightly.

I read that the "scatter scale" should be bumped up, but since there is no such thing in my scatter nodes i figured it is the "scatter density" they are refering to. But when i turn it up, there is some kind of "grid" showing through the skin.

I am completely lost....

Can someone who has used the Octane skin materials before guide me through the process of creating a good looking skin?

I will attach snapshot of my nodes and a result of what the renders look like right now.

Thanks

  • I have to say that looks spooky. I don't use Octaine too much but I would suggest, that you head over to the daz octain forum at Otoy for help.
