I have several Poser runtimes linked to my DAZ Studio content. What I am wondering is after I open a Poser prop in DAZ Studio is there any way of converting the prop and materials/textures to DAZ formats? Cheers

File>Save As>Support Assets>Figure/Prop Asset. The file browser will prmpt for a preset, which goes where you want it, then it will create folders in the Data folder based on the names in the Options dialogue which is where the bulk of th data, other than maps, gets placed. I would suggest using soemthing like PosreConversions as Author or Product name, just so you remember in a few years that it isn't your own work.
Many thanks for your reply. So with DAZ Studio 4.12 I do not have to convert to weight mapping? Cheers
Not if it's a static prop, no.
How do you setup Poser runtimes for Daz Studio?
Go to edit > preferences > content library > content directory manager in DS. You'll see a list of paths for various files formats:
Add the folder which contains the "Runtime" in the "Poser formats" section, and your Poser runtime should be available in the "Poser formats" section of the "Content library" tab (not smart content, content needs DS metadata to appear there and most Poser content won't have those)
Thanks for the info. How do add Daz content that was purchased at Rendo?
I might as well ask another question, how do you put your own avatar in the left box?
The zip should have Runtime and/or Data folders - take those, and any othrs at the same level in the zip, and mrge them into your chosen content directory.
At the top of the page there are breadcrumbs - Daz 3D Forums > Software > Daz Studio Discussion>Poser Props - and to the right of those there is a gear icon. Click the gear, then your name in the menu, and then click the gear icon at top-right there and select Edit Profile. Clicj Change My Picture on the right and you get to the page for uploading an avatar image.
Thanks for the help and understanding. I asked the questian at the Renderosity forums how do you bring your Poser runtimes into Daz Studio and the person told me to right click on the Poser library and simply browse to the location of my Poser runtime, which I did and both programs are now using the same Poser runtimes in the same location.
