Are there any lists of Manifold items (specifically Hairs)

As I dive more and more into 3D printing I more and more want to be able to print what I make in Daz (typically as miniatures). Now the various Genesis models are manifold and I have been fairly successful at fixing non-manifold clothing. However, I know that for me knowing an item is manifold would be a selling point and especially if it is a hair that is manifold. So I was wondering if anyone has a list or a way to search to see what happens to be manifold and therefore more likely to be printable? I am guessing not but I figure that if I don't ask I will never know.

I'm not well-versed in 3D printing concepts, but I would guess that the only types of hair that might be manifold out of the box would be what are known as prop hairs - hair that is modelled as a single mesh much like a hat. Strand-based hairs I do not believe would be manifold due to the number of overlapping strands once the hair is "styled" - that would constitute internal geometry = non-manifold, I believe. Likewise, Strip-based hair is modelled as a series of flat, overlapping strips, with the illusion of strands being created using transparency mapping and bump/normal/displacement mapping, rather than geometry, so that would be non-manifold as well. Unfortunately, most hairs available are one of the two latter types. Nevertheless, I have seen some DAZ models with hair that has been successfully printed, so I have to assume that whatever conversion utility that is being used to convert to a 3D printing format is designed to address the manifold issues. Afterall, even applying a prop hair to the head of a 3D figure is going to create manifold issues with unnecessary internal geometry, no?
