morning everyartist~
I have a problem.
oneday , I can't load iray textures to a coat belongs to a product.
- However, the files I saved before can be read normally, and it also applies this iray textures.
- the pants belongs to the same product is OK, it can apply Iray and 3Delight textures.
- the coat can apply 3Delight textures , no problem . but can't apply Iray textures.
I thought about what I had done recently that might affect it.
I have just used [ morph loader pro ] to load a obj morph fixed by Marvelous Designer, but only for pants ! never touched the coat !
I tried to run the product on other computers, but I had the same problem.
I tried using a backup product and had the same problem .
I have no idea about this ....

The error message mentions "Invalid hierarchy". This sometimes happens if the garment is not "fit to" the character it was designed for, like for example, if you autofit it to some other character generation. Did you autofit a G8F garment to a G3F character, perhaps?
It might help if you specified what product you are working with, so people who also own it can try to duplicate the problem.
Thank u for answering .
But I'm quite sure that , I use G8F cloth fit to G8F.
And , I load a coat into the scene only , and I want to load a iray textures to it , it's a very normal operation...why DAZ alert me...
A hierarchical material preset will not work on a coat that is loaded into a scene by itself. A hierarchical material preset requires a particular hierarchy of objects in the scene. You must select G8F in the scene and fit the coat to her. Then you should be able to apply the hierarchical coat material preset. You still haven't mentioned what product you are using, so it is impossible to provide any more specific help at this point.
To my best knowledge Hierachical Preset needs to be attached to the character in order to work.
Hi barbult sir ~
I'm using [ dForce H&C Pajamas Set ] ,it's a very normal product , I don't know what's "hierarchical"....
In my experience , changing a color or pattern preset does not need G8F in the scene or viewport...![enlightened enlightened](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/lightbulb.png)
Some sets use Herarchical presets to change multiple items at once - that's especially likely with dForce clothing as things like buttons tend to be separate paented props, not part of the utfit, so with regular presets you'd hae to select those as well as the clothing but they also get used for multi-part sets soemtimes. Fo a Hierarchical preset to wrk the base parent must match that for which e preset was saved. There are two ways around this: one is to load the clothign onto the original figure, apply the materials, and then save regular Materials Presets for each piece (well, each unique pece - one would presumably work for all of the buttons); the other would be to have the original base fgure loaded and t parent the clothing to that (it can stay fitted to the figure you want to use), then apply the hierarchical preset..
I think you're making it too complicated ....
the product is very simple .
they were OK all the time until recently
And even now , I do the same opreation on coat and pants, coat alert me , but pants is still OK.
I do this operation for years ,and I believe u do this operation for years ,too .
It's only a simple coat , nothing concern about "Herarchical"....![surprise surprise](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/omg_smile.png)
If it's just the coat then I am sure it's for the buttons, which have to be separate from the coat in order for dForce to work. Try one of the approaches I listed above.
