Following these instructions is the closest i've ever gotten to making a rig work in daz. In layman terms, ( seriously, dumb it down.) could someone tell me what i'm doing wrong? attached is how my figure moves after following the steps. Thanks for your help.

Load your Source Figure into the Scene. (This will be our donor for the rig).
- Load your Target Figure into the Scene. Make sure both figures are in their Zero states.
- Go to Edit -> Figure -> Transfer Utility.
- In it, select your Source and Target figures.
- In advanced options, de-select "Fit to Source Figure".
- You can delete the Source Figure from the scene now.
- The Target should now have the Rig of the Source figure and its Groups, surface, weight maps, etc.

in my experience, you need to make sure that both figures line up as perfectly as possible.
This is how they were alligned. Would this cause that much distoration in the transfer?
This is what is highlighted for the left foot.
They have to line up in the zero pose. Theer is, in the Joint Editor tool option menu, an option to Bake Rotations which could be used to make a pose lining the figure up with the suit a temporary zero pose, from which you could run the Transfer Utility; then you'd take the newly rigged figure, apply the opposite bends to that so it lined up with th default zero pose of the figure, and bake those rotations. A hard-surfce model like that is certainly going to need editing of the weight maps and adjustment morphs once the basic rig is transferred.
