I need the scale a HDRI to correspond to the figure. I googled the forum, found several threads and tried everything but nothing really worked. Still I can't beliee there isn't such a possbility, so just I cannot find it.
A dumbproof solution with dumbproof explanation will be highly appreciated:-)

You can't scale the HDRI as such. It is possible to change it by using finite dome and changing the dome radius settings but that won't scale it up or down to scale with any objects.
To do that you need to do three things, either together or by mixing them.
1 Zoom the camera in and out.
2 Move the camera back and forward.
3 Move the object back an forward and doing one or both of the above.
Zooming the camera though you can only go so far before the edges start to come in as the lens angle widens, it happens with all wide angle lenses. Trial and error is the only way to get it to work depending on the HDRI.
After couple of hours with highly scientific research of push and poke I succeed to make something. Beats me how:-)
BTW - I remmeber a Utube tutorial about combining scenes... will try to find it again.
Render Settings Tab>Environment>Ground Texture Scale
Fiddle with this and you can affect the scale of your HDRI.
FWIW, it's often a lot faster to scale the figure to match the HDRI versus the opposite.
