Renders crashing and giving errors

Hi peeps, long time no chat.

I have a problem where if I try to render just about anything either DS crashes and vanishes from the screen without warning or even a goodbye kiss, which I find rather rude, or it gives me access violation errors.

My PC is as follows:
Processor:  AMD Ryzen 3 2200G, quad core
RAM:  8gb DDR3
Graphic card:  NVidia GeForce GTX 1050 TI with 4gb VRAM

I suspect the problem is running out of RAM.  I have increased my virtual RAM allowance using all four drives but my C drive is small at only 100gb SSD.

If anyone has any suggestions that don't include me spending money I'd be very grateful.  I used to use DS on a much weaker PC so am surprised it doesn't want to work now.

- Are your nVidia and Cuda drivers up to date?
