Ultimate Eyes and apply Color to Eyes

Hello everyone!, im very new to Daz3D and im trying to apply the eye color to my model and im having an extremely hard time.

I downloaded Ultimate Eyes from Daz3d, intsalled it and i can see it in my smart content browser. But when i select one to drag and drop to my models eyes NOTHING happens. The computer processes something but no visual representation in the eyes. They remain colorless. What am i doing wrong?

I'm also curious as to why in the smart content browser the Ultimate Eyes files are labeled as "properties", not materials. 

Please, anyone, help .

How did you load the base figure? It is lacking the eyelash transparency, and the eyes look odd.
