DIM issues (?) with fresh 4.12 install

 I've looked high and low and can't find anyone with the same issue that I have, so here goes; I've just made a fresh reinstallation of Daz - now 4.12 using DIM, on my PC. I also reinstalled Windows about a month or two back, so this is a truesly fresh install, and I'm using the 64 bit version on windows 10.

 Everything seems to work well, until I try to load any actual content. Daz says it cannot find the requested item, wether that's a genesis 3/8 model, prop, clothing, hair, etc, and I have not changed the installation directory. All items do appear in the smart content folders, though I never use them myself as I prefer the file tree method, and I can somehow force Daz to load the "missing" content by right clicking on the Merge in Scene option. This only goes so far however, so it's not really a solid fix.

 Anybody have the slightest idea what the hell is going on? I've uninstalled everything more than once, and deleted all trace of Daz in every shape and form, started the whole process over, and gotten the same results.. I should also point out that this is only happening with DIM installed content (so far) because I refuse to spend hours of my time, installing third party content if Daz itself doesn't work properly..

 HELP!!

    How did you install? Did you bring the database over from you previous installation? If you find the product (not the actual files) in the products tab of Smart Copntent what, if any, icon is shown at top-right of the product thumbnail?

    No database migration this time, everything was done from scratch. Items in the Smart Content tab list each item correctly; Characters have Actor in the right hand corner of each thumbnail, Hair have Set, Lights have Lights, Props have Set, etc.. 

     Any suggestions?

    I was asking about the product thumbnail in the Products tab, not the individual files. How did you install - DIM or Connect?

    Ah, I beg you pardon. Everything was installed via DIM.

    Oh! Hey I think I found the problem! I (finally) navigated to where you just mentioned, and it turns out something hadn't installed completely! I'm moving forward now in a big way so THANK YOU! That said, this wasn't an issue with the previous three versions I had installed, so I wonder whay it suddenly is now?..
