Street Rat shape on Genesis 8?

I want to dial up the Street Rat shape (Genesis) for a Genesis 8 figure, so that I can use the Genesis 8 poses.

Is that possible to do?

I have adjusted the shape dials between G8 characters often, but I have never tried using the dials for G3 or earlier on a G8 figure, and don't know if that's possible.

So I thought I would ask before purchasing the Street Rat.

or just use this to convert the poses to G1, would be cheaper

I have to wonder though given all the work needed including the UV geograft product for the texture just how hard it is for you to manually pose him, I mean for that matter there are lots of free poses for genesis 1&2 on sites like shareCG too and all the earlier figures with tweaking.

I wanted to pose him holding a gun with this product:

So it would save a lot of time for me to use the included poses. But you are right, a last resort would be to do it manually.

I could convert them to G1 poses, but then the weapons would have to be moved manually.

Would still save you the money of you don't have the conversion products. What I do with guns is put the figure in the default pose, then bring the gun in, don't parent or fit it. then position it where the hand and the grip are and then parent it to that hand and save as a figure/prop asset. Now when you load it and apply any pose, it will be very close to where you need it and you only have to make small adjustments.

    Thank you! Good advice!
