Icon associated with Script

I have two small but useful scripts I wrote myself in a subfolder of the scripts folder in my content library. I created them some time ago. Somehow without realizing it, I associated an icon with one of them, but not the other, and I don't remember how I did this. As a result, in my Content Library pane in Daz Studio, only one of the two scripts turns up. The folder only contains the two .dsa files, nothing else.

How do I associate an icon with a script?

To create a thumbnail (icon) for a script, create a PNG file with the same name as the script file. So, in addition to "name.dsa" you have "name.png" in that folder.

  • Ahem. I said that there are only the two .dsa files in the folder, but one of them shows with an icon and the other does not show up at all. Pls rd OP.

  • In the folder on disc? As Barbult says, the thumbnail is a PNG file so no png would mean no thumbnail. If one of them is a .djl link file then it can show the thumbnail for the file it is linking to, but that of course would not be a script file if you looked at the folder on disc.

  • I had the scripts in two places, one of which had one icon png file, and the other had no icons. I did not realize this until your advice jolted me out of a rut. Thank you.

Now I have a single "my Scripts" subfolder with two icons in it, neither of which shows up with an icon, which is what I should expect, so at least I have a consistent picture and can add png files for both as suggested.
