Fix armpits

LoonyLoony Posts: 1,817

Hi, I use G2 Shirt on G8 and got this:

Any idea how to fix it? Even when I set the expand slider so low, that all is invisible, it is there... I have no idea why it happens... if I add a smooth modifier, it explode even more (for all clothes from that creator get I bad results with smothing :( )

Update: I did now copy the texture to a other shirt :/ is the best way.

    Hoi!

I wanna continue my work and... I struggle with the armpits so i wanna try to convert the clothes, because the G2 Clothes on G8 make problems... (exploding textures... as hell)

but when I click it it say this:

and I have NO idea what that is... so what do I click? :/

very cute Shirt, but... the armpits.... (btw. its mainly made for G2F, does G2M to G8M even work? because I wanna use it on my boy :D ) The texture/morphs etc are great but the textures are a bit buggy :(

    also created a thread here:

    https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/378291/fix-armpits

I did try to hide it with a geometry editor, but that destryed also other parts -_-.... and very annoying the geometry editor...

Please help, because I wanna continue my scene^^.

Edit: NVM, seems like the converter cant read Female clothes if I use the Male converter.... so I convert them to G8F and hope they work then on G8M.

    Hoi,

I am not so... happy with the result of the G2F to G8F clothes converter from RiverSoft.

That was the converted Version, the clothes does not sit on the body. And the socks, looks like boots.

    This is the Autofit :

I assumed the converter should make it better and not more worse?

I replaced now the shirt and use the texture on a other, but I still would like to know why the converter cant convert it.

The armpits can be tricky. Sometimes it helps if you change Smoothing Type from Base Shape to Generic.

That is exactly why i don't use the converters and returned ones i purchased. I wasn't happy with the results and got much better results using the clone and autofit method.

it's to be expected to have issues when converting one mesh rigged for a specific character to another with different rigging. I find I have less issues and a better fit using clones and the autofit dialogue. Unfortunately there are clones in the store for every figure execpt for V4/M4 (the ones in the store are broken and give poor results)

    Why?....

The second thing, is a Problem with a specific Software from daz Store.

The first Problem is just a random problem I had... AND the Problems does NOT belong to Armpits... its a problem with the converter itself, please move it back. It was feedback, that the clothes didnt fitted after converting as good as it should.

Hi, but... this thread is about Two COMPLETE DIFFERENT things, one is a problem with a very broken item, and the other about a product... its NOT about armpits in both...

V4/M4 clones - the good news is that one can make their own. I have a tutorial link in the first post of my Tutorial Thread. One needs to own the V4 and M4 shapes for Genesis or maybe one of the others of the Genesis clan. Using that shape and my autofit clone(s) one can make V4 and/or M4 autofit clones. The difference between my autofit clones with regards to G8 is that the pose is included.
