2 person pose not working?!

Hi all, Mega noob here...

I have purchased the below.

https://www.daz3d.com/samba-poses-for-genesis-8

if I apply one of the poses to Gen8 female or male, they do the same pose. Other poses I have purchased have a male version and a female version to create the dancing couple, this one just makes both characters take on the female pose.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks.

They are hierarchical poses, which suggests you need to 'do something first' (never used them so not sure): either parent G8F to G8M and apply the pose (once) to G8M or (better if it works in my view), select both figures and, again, apply the pose just the once.

I don't have the product, but the page says they're hierarchical poses. That would mean that you need to parent one of the figure to the other (not sure in which order, but I'd try parenting the female to the male first as the page says "for G8M and G8F"), then apply the preset to the parent and it should pose both figures.

Hi! As the others have said, these are hierarchical poses designed to pose both figures at once. They are right about parenting one figure to the other. In this case, you'll need to parent your Genesis 8 Female figure to the 'Hip' node of Genesis 8 Male, then apply the pose to the male figure.

For future reference, since the setup for the figures isn't obvious in any way, I always put a little instructional file into the folder with this sort of pose set, and add a note for the ReadMe. If you look at the poses in the Content Library pane, there should be an icon that gives instructions for their use if you hover over it. smiley

I hope you have fun with the  samba poses!
