Hi, I'm playing around with the software and I wanted to try something. I have a. OBJ file that consists of a bust of a video game character. I would like to graft at least the face if not the entire head on from the OBJ file to a Genesis 8 character. What would be the best way to go about doing this?

Well, it depends on how much effort you're willing to put into it, and what results you expect. The least amount of effort might be to import the obj as if it was a prop, and just parent it to the figure's head. (Then hide anything that pokes through) That would be kind of like having the figure wear it as a Halloween mask. You wouldn't be able to use the posing controls for facial expressions or the like, and you'd possibly have issues in the neck area.
To get facial features to work is a whole different level of effort, because you'd need it rigged and weight mapped. I don't know if the transfer utilities will do that for you or not.
So is there a guide on how to do the rigging and weight mapping I could read/watch? I've been looking at geografting, but it doesn't seem to work too well....
Did you see my tutorial for making a geograft face? Forum post
