    You are using an extremely old version of DAZ Studio. We are now using 4.6.2.118 as the general release version. Is there a particular reason for this.

    Do you have Genesis 2 Essentials installed? It may not install in DS 4.0 either, but it is required to use Michael 6, as he is a morph of Genesis 2 male.

    Does the figure show up in your content library under
    DAZ Studio Formats -> My DAZ3D Library -> People -> Genesis 2 Male -> Charaters ?

    Go to "My Account", then select "Product Library".
    Then, select the DAZ Studio 4.6. As the image by chohole shows, there you will find the links to the Genesis and Genesis 2 Essential bundles.
    You can find the download links for manual download there.

    Umm folks which was the lowest version that could read DUF? I'm not sure that version of DS can load the duf content even if installed.

    In DS, Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, expand the "DAZ Studio Formats" and "Poser Formats". Make sure you have "C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library" listed under both.

    I see you have Genesis in the Scene? The poses for M6 will NOT apply to Genesis, you MUST load M6 first The file you need to load, is 'Michael 6.DUF' and it should say 'Actor' in the label at the top right of the icon.

    You can load Genesis 2 Male first, then select it in the Scene pane, and then in Smart Content, M6 will appear.

    DIM installs to C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library (the path that Mike gave you). Did you change it?

    If you have your library in another folder, you need to get DIM to install there. Inside DIM, go to the little Gear icon at the top right of the interface, and you can add another library path there for installing to.

    If you don't want to do that, then just tell DS where the DIM content is installed to, by adding the default path to the Content Directory Manager.
